It’s still an odd thing to me that as we go into the warmer months into summer that we actually have to plan some indoor activities on our weekends because it can get TOO DARN HOT outside here in Austin, Texas. I only recall one summer when I was a child that it hit triple digits in SE Ohio and everyone was complaining. Now as my kids grow up in Austin, hitting triple digits in the summer isn’t a matter of IF, it’s a matter of WHEN it will happen. We usually plan outings in the mornings for our family on the weekends and then it’s always good to have several indoor options if the weather climbs over 100 for the afternoons. I’m excited to tell you about TWO NEW family games for kids from Gamewright that made their debut in late spring 2017. Today I’ll be talking about the game Cha-Cha Chihuahua and you’ll have to come back tomorrow to read about a hilarious pastry-picking card game!
In Gamewright’s new game Cha-Cha Chihuahua, children as young as four get to draw cards to get these peppy perritos to join your doggy dance-a-thon. You can paw away at another player’s pups with some fetching food, but watch out for the “siesta” cards that will send your dog-tired dancers straight to the Nap Shack! Uh oh! If you can end the party with the most Chihuahuas on your dance floor then you’re the cha-cha-champ! This is a fun and engaging game that my girls can play together and Bob and I have lots of fun playing with them, too. The game goes quick, but the girls like to have additional matches to see who can become the winner. It’s a great way to play and learn sportsmanship even if the weather outside is burning hot. AWESOME!
