Wild Animals of the South (Hardcover)

Famous German illustrator Dieter Braun offers his readers an accurate representation of animals from the southern hemisphere in this gorgeously illustrated volume.

This is the second in a pair of illustrated books covering the animals of the world.  If you have read Braun’s first book Wild Animals of the North you will know that you are in for many beautiful drawings of animals accompanied by fun facts and clever descriptions that children will love.  Wild Animals of the South proves to be just as breath-taking.  Most of the animals are given a two page spread that includes their name, Latin name, and a brief paragraph that tells information about where the animal lives, what it eats, and other interesting trivia about them.  Through his beautiful and colorful illustrations, readers will be dazzled by the giraffes and elephants in Africa, koalas and kangaroos in Australia, huge blue whales in the open oceans, and many more!  Wild Animals of the Sorth can be a picture book for younger children as well as an educational book for older children on a variety of animals (over 80!)  This is a wonderful book that is a great investment to your family library.
