Patch and Ruby (Sugar & Spice) (Hardcover)

Patch the pony is lonely. Sometimes it feels as if he doesn’t quite fit in on the farm. But one day something happens that changes his life forever. A wonderful tale about friendship and finding out where you belong.

Patch is a horse that has many animal friends on the farm, but doesn’t quite fit in and feels lonely.  Each day, Patch hangs out with all the other animal species and her favorite time is spent with a special girl named Sam.  One day, a new horse named Ruby comes to the farm and Patch is so excited!  The new friends like to do everything together and all feels right in the world.  This is a wonderful book for children because it gently talks about not fitting in with other groups and that you can sometimes feel lonely even in a crowd.  It’s important to have a good friend that you feel comfortable with and the book realistically reflects how important it is to bond with a friend.  Love.
