Clark the Shark: Afraid of the Dark (Hardcover)

“Take heart, be smart, sharks aren’t afraid of the dark.”

This is a great book for October when we celebrate Halloween and all things SPOOOOOKY!  Not all children like the scary side to this month and some may even be afraid of the dark.  In Clark the Shark’s newest book, Clark is ready for his first sleepover but he is very nervous about sleeping over in the dark without his night light.  He tries to make up rhymes and think of ways to help him stay cool, but when his friends decide it would be fun to start telling scary stories, Clark is suddenly not so brave at ALL.  Will his friends understand him and or laugh about his nighttime fears?

Add another adorable Clark the Shark book to your collection with this latest book which has a special ending on how friends can help each other in times of stress.  If you have a child that doesn’t feel so brave at night, they should enjoy this story.  Clark’s friends not only make Clark feel at ease with his nighttime jitters, they all admit they are a little scared of the night, too.  However, together they all talk through their fears and fall fast asleep after a successful sleepover.  As always, the artwork is colorful and the text is really hilarious and Clark the Shark is as endearing as ever.  “Take heart, be smart, sharks aren’t afraid of the dark.”
