Meet Girl and Gorilla—a brand-new picture book duo from Rick Walton and Joe Berger!
Girl and Gorilla are best friends. Girl and Gorilla want to play at the park. But how will they get there? They can . . . Hopscotch! Or jump rope! Maybe they can just close their eyes and wish they were there! But when they open their eyes . . . they are not at the park. Will Girl and Gorilla ever get to play at the park?
This silly and simple book is all about a little girl and a gorilla who want to go to the park. They try to ride a bike, but it’s too heavy to carry both of them. They try to hopscotch, but that’s doesn’t work either. They even try to WISH themselves there! But, guess what? The only way they can get to the park is to….WALK. Yes, walk. Then they enjoy a glorious day in the park until it is time to get home. Now, how will they get back? Maybe grow a tail and helicopter home? This is a very funny book, especially with the adorable illustrations of crazy Gorilla and the more sensible Girl. Brooke got a kick out of the story and I imagine we’ll be reading it over and over..and over again!
