DAD’S SECRET SAUCE – EVERYTHING TASTES BETTER WHEN DAD COOKS IT
My husband is the family cook. Sure, I pretend to be the cook during most workdays, but the food I make is relatively easy and simplistic to make. Bob, on the other hand, can work on food preparation for days. He’s made his own sauces, cheese, and even bread from scratch. He’s known for his brisket and chili and has even made a name for himself among our friends and co-workers as being a ‘chef’. It’s impressive!
Bob is also a wonderful dad and cooking and parenting can sometimes go hand in hand. When he includes the kids in the kitchen, it always makes them excited and just last weekend he was showing Brooke how to make the ‘perfect omelet’. Since he has been studying food and cooking for well over a decade, his food is more like a science than a leisurely hobby.
Our Name is Mud has a wonderful food safe jar for ‘Dad’s Special Sauce’ that is perfect for Bob. The adorably designed container is made of stoneware and is the perfect size (Measures 3.25″ L x 3.25″ W x 5.875″ H) for any dad’s sauce creations. The jar was designed by the artist and founder of Our Name is Made, Lorrie Veasey. It’s both a cute and useful item to make any dad who loves to cook feel special. Being a dad is both a hard and difficult job, and dad’s who continuously create special meals for their family definitely deserve their own trophy like this! Sure, Father’s Day is not until June, but dad’s creations are year round and it was exciting for the girls and I to give daddy his own cool sauce container.
About Our Name is Mud: OurNameisMud.com is a consumer website run by Lorrie Veasey, artist, designer and founder of Our Name is Mud. Lorrie was exposed to ceramics at an early age by her mother, a potter. Although her first pot was created at age three, she did not begin selling her creations until she was forced to supplement her teacher’s salary in her early twenties. From 1987-1995, she sold her creations at various street fairs and festivals throughout New York City. The direct customer feedback she received helped to form the basis for a unique product line with great appeal, and led to the opening of the first of four retail locations in 1995. Building on the success that she enjoyed as a retailer of her own products, she went on to launch a wholesale line in 2002. The Our Name is Mud line was sold to Enesco, LLC. in 2007. Lorrie’s ceramic designs are now available in thousands of stores across the world and has celebrity clients like celebrity clients who have included Lindsay Lohan, Julia Roberts, Robert DeNiro, and Bill Murray. Lorrie lives with her husband Kip, son Jesse and daughter Annie in New Jersey.
