Expect young children to want to flip through these pages again and again, for the beauty in Fischer’s illustrations is undeniable and irresistible. —5 Minutes For Mom
Holy Art Museum, Batman. That was my first thought when I picked up and flipped through the pages of this beautifully crafted book about shapes called, what else, Wild About Shapes. The designs are masterfully done to show hidden animals that reveal themselves within the pages of overlapping color and alternating pages of acetate. There are so many surprises on each page and its lovely for kids to discover all the fun animals from crocodiles to snails. French artist, Jérémie Fischer, uses bold block color and cleverly manipulated form that will delight and fascinate readers of all ages and could truly belong on any museum wall. Lovely.
