OK – now the review!  If you read my review of Lisa’s Hanukkah song, “Light” last year, you will know I’m a big fan of her.  I remember seeing a music video of her in high school and just saying “YES!” because I was a singer-songwriter and guitarist and at the time there wasn’t a ton of female musicians who were well known in mainstream music.  Yes, females can play guitar, too!  Lisa Loeb’s album, Nursery Rhyme Parade!, is a beautifully simple album with an acoustic guitar and Lisa’s beautiful voice singing classic nursery rhymes.  One of the great things about playing guitar when you have kids (and Lisa now has two, too) is playing children’s songs for them.  The songs are beautiful and Lisa’s vocals are amazing and I especially love when she harmonizes in the songs, even doing a few rounds here and there.  My toddler was really excited about Lisa’s a cappella version of the ABCs since they sing it all the time in preschool!  Our kids like to listen to music when they fall asleep and this album is now on rotation for Brie’s nighttime music.  So, if you don’t play guitar, play this cool album since it is like Lisa Loeb is playing a private concert just for you and your kids on all the nursery rhymes.  Adorable.  Don’t miss it.  Prime members, you have no excuse!  Welcome to the world of free new music streaming and start listening.
