As a person with wild, curly and unruly hair hats are a personal friend of mine.  I wear them a lot on the weekends and when I am out and about when my hair won’t cooperate.  While I usually stick to a few well-worn Cleveland Indians ball caps, I was looking for something a little more stylish that could still accommodate my usual go-to hairstyle when I don’t feel like flat-ironing; my beloved ponytail.  Stormy Kromer manufacturers outdoor gear right here in the U.S.A. and their caps, especially the Ida Infielder, are quite possibly the cutest hats for women I have ever tried.  I love the dark-green fern color option, the six-panel crown construction and the space for my ponytail makes this an awesome winner for this mom on-the-go.

The Ida Infielder is a durable hat for women that is perfect for the summer sun (which helped me keep the sun out of my eyes and face this Austin summer!) but is stylish enough to wear all year round.  The Fern cap is made with 100% organic cotton and made in the USA with globally sourced material.  The cap is unlined, which I really love and it looks great with any weekend or sporty outfit.  Take special care of this hat since it should only be hand washed or spot cleaned.  Check out the other adorable Stormy Kromer caps for women on their website including a fun cabby and brimless cap HERE.

About Stormy Kromer:  In 1903, George “Stormy” Kormer, asked his wife, Ida, to make him a new-fashioned baseball cap with a higher crown so he wouldn’t keep losing his hat on the the windy locomotive where he worked.  After 111 years, the Stormy Kromer caps are still hand-made in America and located in Ironwood, MI.
