BreathableBaby CribShield Full Coverage Mesh Liner
Safer Sleep for your Baby
My husband had an older brother that was also named Robert who passed away as a baby from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) which has had huge impact on his family’s life and on his life as a parent. Prevention of SIDS is important to us and we have never had blankets, toys or bumpers in our kid’s cribs. We both sighed of relief when our oldest turned one. Our baby has had an interesting time with the crib. Diagnosed with acid reflux and on medication, she spent a lot of time being held upright by us or in a swing to help with her spit up. As she gets older, her acid reflux is -thankfully- getting better and she has been spending most nights in her crib. While her crib has always been free of blankets and toys and no bumper, this little girl is super strong and LOVES to kick and punch in her sleep and gets her arms and legs caught in a second. While our oldest would get an arm between her crib bars in a blue moon, it was not like our youngest who seems to have a knack for it. I wonder if she dreams about wrestling? She gets so upset when she gets stuck that it was really becoming a concern. I kept thinking, is there such a thing as a safe liner? Even Bob finally said – there must be something we can do! I needed to research and I came across the BreathableBaby Mesh Crib Liners and CribShields that offers both full coverage in the crib-no limbs getting stuck- as well as being made out of a mesh liner for air flow. OK, now we are talking!
CribShield Mesh Liner is an award-winning new design to help babies who are able to sit up un-aided to keep a baby’s arms and legs within the crib while being made out of soft and breathable mesh panels to reduce any risk of suffocation and entanglement. The mesh fabric promotes airflow and is hypoallergenic. The two panel CribShield fits perfectly on our convertible crib and is made to fit standard and convertible cribs. The liner is simple to attach while still being secure (you use both hooks and loop fasteners.) The liner is also machine washable and pediatrician recommended. You can use this crib liner up to 18 months or until a child starts to climb out of their crib and the CribShield is specifically designed for babies who are standing up and the crib mattress is on the lowest setting. I definitely think the BreathableBaby Cribsheild is the safest mesh crib liner on the market. It has definitely given us peace of mind for sleep and she no longer gets stuck, now if it could only help in the teething department…….
Check it out! Compare the difference between mesh crib liners (for babies not yet sitting un-aided/standing approximately 0-9 months) and the CribShield (for babies approximately 9-18 months) on the Breathable Baby website here. As always, these are general guidelines depending on your baby’s development. Read more before purchasing and using!
