We are in love with Folkmanis realistic looking animal puppets and our older daughter has become especially obsessed with squirrels. In fact, we can’t go to our weekly park dates without her collecting ‘squirrel nut’ (aka acorns) for her squirrel friends. When we told her that certain squirrels could FLY she was in disbelief. Really? Yes! She fell in love with the children’s book series, Scaredy Squirrel, where a flying squirrel accidentally ventures out into the world and learns he can glide in the air – a must read for all you book worms. We thought getting her the adorable Flying Squirrel hand puppet along with a book about the different types of squirrels (such as the white squirrels in NE Ohio) she would love it. She has several Folkmanis puppets that she already loves and I know that this will be no exception. She has such an amazing imagination, I imagine right after Christmas, the new squirrel puppet addition will be gathering squirrel nuts and flying around our house for many years to come. Fun stuff and highly recommended for young imaginative kids who LOVE animals!

I don’t think that this would last in are house the dog would most likely think it is a real squirrel and try to eat it. LOL
