Product Review:  The LEGO Adventure Book, Vol. 1 (Family Fun!)

Cars, Castles, Dinosaurs & More!

LEGOS.  Even that name invokes some intense childhood feelings of joy and creation.  Who knew that the LEGOS of my youth would spawn into this unstoppable machine of levels of insanity of builds.  I’ve seen the huge LEGOS creations and have been amazed at the constructions that exist.  Castles, replicas and even houses designed from LEGOS seems a little out of hand, but we still want more.  Did you know the that LEGO Group even hires set designers to create ridiculously outrageous models to display at events like ComicCon and all over the world?  Well, think about if one of those designers created a book about LEGO builds.  Is the suspense too much?  Well, not to worry, you can now purchase The LEGO Adventure Book by Megan Rothrock who is a LEGO Master and former designer for LEGO.  To say this book is nothing less than amazing would be a lie.  It is outright fantastic.  This book is filled with amazing pictures with step-by-step instructions of 25 LEGO models and nearly 200 example models from the best LEGO builders in the world. Learn how to build robots, trains, medieval villages, spaceships, airplanes, and a whole lot more. I am not quite sure how you get to be such a LEGO genius, but I was hoping to find out.  What I did discover is that I am perfectly happy being a mediocre LEGO builder and will continue to gawk at the amazing creations they come up with for our kids and *ahem* adults.  After all, it’s the destination and not the journey that makes life so great which is why people keep coming back for more LEGO designs.  Learn from a Master herself and, as written in Chapter 5, the Sky is the Limit!  So, spark that imagination in yourself and your kids and keep on building.
