Kids Ask The Doctor (Paperback)

A wonderful way to teach children about health!

My curious and (possibly?) leaning toward a little hypochondriac 2nd grader was driving my husband and I crazy about health questions.  Will I get pneumonia like my friend at school?  Why did I get the flu when I had the flu shot?  Etc. Etc.  I recently started reading a book called ‘Healed!’ and the author had also written a children’s book about health for kids.  I couldn’t get my hands on the book fast enough!  It has proven to be a hit with my health conscious daughter and the smart, easy-to-read yet extremely informative ‘Kids Ask The Doctor’ book not only provides young kids real answers (and illustrations) to medical questions, it tells readers how to live a healthy life in a very straightforward way.  Brilliant!  ‘Kids Ask The Doctor’ is a wonderful book for kids regarding health that is worth having on your family shelf.

“A few years ago, I was asked as a physician to speak to a local grade school which included all the children in grades Kindergarten through Sixth. I was given the task of answering medical questions that the children wrote out themselves. I only had five minutes to answer the questions once a month. There were so many wonderful and insightful questions asked that I decided to answer as many as I could in writing. It then occurred to me that other children all over the country probably asked the same questions asked by these children. When children go to the doctor, they are usually sick and their parents ask all of the questions. It can be very intimidating. I decided to take the questions and make them into this book. This book is designed to address the curious, inner child in all of us.” – Dr. Robin Miller
