Just when I think we have done all the holiday activities for families around Austin, something new and exciting is coming out this season! Circuit of The Americas (COTA) has just announced a new holiday tradition and festival with—get this—a million lights, camel rides, and hot air balloon rides! The holidays in Austin just keep getting better! We normally go to the Trail of Lights and while we love the experience, Winter Wonderland offers FREE parking, away from downtown, and has so many wonderful activities and events at an even better price. WOW!

Winter Wonderland will run from December 1 – 30, open daily from 6 -10 p.m., and 6 – 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Make sure to wear walking shoes, because you will need it! Tickets are on sale now.

Charity! Coca-Cola Invites You Into Winter Wonderland Early! Donate to Coca-Cola Harvey Relief Care Package on Saturday, December 9, and get into Winter Wonderland 30 minutes early! You can help your neighbors in need and have free reign of the holly jolly fun before the crowds arrive. Items needed include toys, non-perishable food, and non-liquid cleaning supplies. Donation receptacles will be stationed at the entry gates.

Additional activities require a Magic Money wristband to partake. You can easily purchase a Magic Money wristband with pre-loaded currency (Fees for these attractions range from $5 – $15 depending on activity) at any of the kiosks upon entry to Winter Wonderland! In addition to the attractions you’ll find lots of concessions, hot cocoa stands, and other seasonal beverages like mulled wine or Irish coffee for those 21 & up. There is also a Go! Games popup store and you can also shop for handcrafted goods in the Bavarian Village, so bring extra cash!
