In this extended retelling of the classic “Old MacDonald Had a Farm,” readers will be charmed with the usual moo! moo! here and there and delighted by the appearance of a kangaroo, elephant, and zebra joining the fun.
Old MacDonald had a farm, but something is off. His farm has been taken over by kangaroos, elephants, and even a crocodile! OH MY! The old farmer eventually figures out what’s happened, rounds the newcomers up, and brings them back where they belong–the nearby zoo. This book is read in the sing-song told of the old fashioned rhyme updated for a wild time at the zoo. My preschooler loved the funny sounds and the surprise of each animal that Old MacDonald discovers. Cute!
