Thankfulness to Color: Gratitude to Live and Color By combines lovely nature-inspired art with thoughtful quotes to color.

Brooke recently had a school assignment to pick a family member that she was appreciative about and write and talk about it.  It turned into a dinner time table discussion where each of us took turns to share what we appreciated about each other.  It was really nice.  It was a great way to start a transition into a talk about the Thanksgiving season.  Being thankful encompasses many aspects and having gratitude and appreciation are part of that.  I think it’s important to remember and have reminders that we have many things to be grateful for in our life and the latest coloring activity book through Harper Collins Children’s is a Thankfulness to Color book that I find inspiring and creative.

Thankfulness to Color is 96 pages, and in a big 10 x 10 format. Coloring this book is a joyful reminder of everything we have to be grateful for and is perfect for sharing.  Each page has a black-and-white interior printed on heavy paper stock, good for colored pencils and most markers and filled with advice and quotes from classic authors like Walt Whitman and Oscar Wilde. When you color you will be reminded of quotes such as “gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder” (G. K. Chesterton).  It’s a perfect pick-me-up gift for yourself or a friend and has a distinctive un-coated cover and enough pages to use the book as a keepsake for your creative process of coloring. About the Author/Illustrator:  Zoë Ingram is a designer and illustrator with an honors degree in printed textile design.  Zoë’s artwork has been described as lush, colorful, elegant, playful, organic, and design with a twist. Zoë is in love with color and often uses hand lettering, layering, and textures in her work, combining traditional methods with digital finishing.  Originally from Edinburgh in the UK, Zoë now calls Adelaide, Australia, home. The fantastic weather, food, wine, and surroundings in South Australia provide Zoë with loads of inspiration, as do her two daughters.
