While I live in ‘hipster-village’ as I like to call certain pockets of Austin and I am certainly all for the men’s health movement called Movember, there is nothing I like more than a well-groomed face on my husband. It’s like I almost drink in his shaving balms and lotions and the scent stays with me all day as if he is a ghost following me around with his perfumes. I LOVE IT. Bob has been into wet shaving for over three years and that comes with a variety of awesome and mostly organic products that complement his shaving experience. I am happy to report that I (yes, ME!) found another great shaving balm for his collection and it’s invigorating scent with mint tones has quickly become his favorite after shave balm. Huzzah!
Since Bob and I were raised in Ohio, we were familiar with Chagrin Falls, a village in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in a suburb of Cleveland. I was pretty confident by the name that this was, in fact, an Ohio company, and I was not wrong. Yay! Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve is a USDA Certified Organic company. They manufacture all of their own products including certified organic and natural soaps, shampoo bars, salves, bath, body, skin and hair care products.

Bob is so happy with this Mint Mist shaving balm that I think it is on his new ‘must have’ product list. He has already mentioned to me that it is getting down to the half-way mark (HINT HINT), so I think this is going to be a stocking stuffer for him for Christmas for sure. The added benefit for me is the lovely mint-tastic smell that permeates his skin and he loves how it is a wonderful moisturizer for his face. Hey, we are all getting older and keeping our skin’s moisturized is extremely important for both men and women! Love!
