Creative Coloring Inspirations is a inspirational coloring book for adults or teens. There are 30 pages of meaningful activities.  I admit that I took the ‘adult coloring’ idea as a suggestion from a friend as a great way to relax.  Although I wasn’t too sure about it, I did find working on this adult coloring book relaxing and meditative.  Wow!  Who knew?  Talented artist Valentina Harper allows you to take her drawings into your own personal experience as you work with her exquisite line drawings.  There are so many detailed and intricate patterns and the pages are printed on high quality extra-thick paper that won t bleed through, so feel free to use all types of artistic tools from gel pens, markers or even watercolors and get into the zone.

I personally liked ‘borrowing’ Brooke’s colored pencils and we even did one together (fun but not exactly relaxing with a kindergartener – ha!).  All pages are pre-perforated so you can remove and display your artwork after you are finished. I’m definitely looking into getting more of the Creative Coloring books, which includes an entire adult coloring book series, and have had such a fun time learning how to de-stress with coloring.  Love this idea!

Best Colored Pencils for Creative Coloring!

What kind of a reviewer would I be if I didn’t include the best colored pencils to use when doodling in your adult coloring books?  That’s right.  Not so great.  Soooo….my all-time favorite colored pencils to use for coloring are from the company, eeBoo.  Almost all eeBoo products are made from cardboard (often recycled) and non-toxic inks and are fully certified to ICTI standards.  My favorite is something called watercolor pencils.  That’s right.  You color on like you would regular pencils and then use a brush with water to give it a watercolor effect.  It’s really beautiful and twice the fun.
