It is sometimes funny what I remember about conversations that my husband Bob and I have had over the years. Remember, I have known and been friends with this man since I was fifteen years old! You have some hilarious conversations as a teen. And his reminders of me as a very strange fifteen year old are not always as funny as you think they are….ahem, Bob are you reading this? BUT! Yes, there is a but! I also remember things he did and said when he was younger, too! One thing I remember?

Bob wanted to own a Vespa SO BAD! You know, those FAMOUS Italian scooters….

Oh LA LA!

I think Bob secretly wanted to be a hipster and I always laughed because I never wanted ‘anything fancy’. In fact, this probably hasn’t changed much about either of us except trade in hipster to SAHD extraordinaire! So what does an awesome father get his awesomely cute daughter for their duo trip to take Papa to the airport to Dallas to go (move? TBD?) to Buenos Aires?

A Purple Skootcase! D’uh!

Yes, Bob finds products for me to review sometimes. OK, sometimes more than sometimes. Bob sees things on the playground or play dates that I don’t get to see and tells me, too, so he is quite an important product locator and researcher to our Momma’s Bacon Family (ahem – me, the only writer!).

When you see a cool product we loved that probably looked really ‘fancy’……yeah, that probably came at Bob’s recommendation. I really should start tracking them so I can start to analyze it! Ha!

Anyway, Brooke was having a tough time with her grandpa or ‘Papa’ going away to Argentina for so long, so we (Bob and I ) have tried so hard to make this transition easier for her. We sometimes go overboard as parents. SHOCK. So, for the last week he is here in Texas, we are having a party and Bob and Brooke will be driving him to the airport to Dallas. Bob saw this Skootcase and said. I MUST get one for Brooke. Oh, MUST? She certainly needs a super cool ride-on Vespa like suitcase to take to the hotel for one night, right? Oh, she does? OK. She must.

And you know what? It is super cool and I’m glad she owns it. It’s actually much more durable than I thought it would be and she plays with it all the time like a ride on toy. I had no idea she would be that into a ride-on toy as a preschooler. Go figure. Bob wins again! This is a fun item to add to your kid’s travel tool kit for a practical and fun suitcase. Yes, it is fancy and that is why we love it!

Success! Papa made it to Buenos Aires safely and we had a lovely trip. And, speaking of fancy……Brooke was very impressed with our hotel, too!
