The Hudson River area (New York and New Jersey) has a rich culture of kindie music.  You may think ‘Seattle’ or ‘Portland’ when you think of a lot of the kids music coming out today, but the Hudson River Valley holds their own.  Take, for example, Dog on Fleas.  They are on the process of releasing their EIGHTH album led by the Grammy award winner Dean Jones.  Known in that area for well over fourteen years, the Dog on Fleas band is a celebration of family life in a nice mix of eclectic style.  I love this album for their limited use of electronic music.  While I like electronic music, I play guitar and sing to my daughters and I grew up listening to live acoustic gigs and that is what I love.  My clear favorite was the track “Hundredaires” that talks about not having a lot of money but having priceless fun.  Brooke loves to dance and really likes the mellow song, I Must Be a Genius, which you can check out at the link below.  Super cute.
