Is there a stronger synonym for stretch?  Extend?  Broaden?  Hmmm, I feel like when I say my mom could stretch a dollar that is almost too light of a word.  She could tug and pull at it until it was almost invisible.  Now that would be more accurate.  I learned the art of sweepstakes, coupons, giveaways and collecting in order to make ends meet by watching her.  I think at one point half of my wardrobe was from box top mail-ins when I was in middle and high school.  I actually did think we would win the Publisher’s Clearing House.  I knew the person behind us in the grocery store would groan when my mom would pull out her wad of coupons at the end of check out.  I am only slightly embarrassed to say that I am somewhat like that now.  I like good deals and I love giveaways.  I like to enter because you just never know.  Bob and I have a saying that is actually pretty common: Someone has to win.  Most of the time it is not us, but this time that someone was me!  I actually won an online contest for an adorable onesie from Tumblewalla and we were thrilled!
