If you are looking for an Educational coloring book (yes, they exist), Dover Publishing has a series of Dover History Coloring Books. Since we are on an ancient Greek kick in our house, we were excited to see the one on Life in Ancient Greece. This is a great way to have fun and quality time with your kids by reading and coloring. The coloring book has over 40 illustrations of life in Athens in the 5th and 4th centuries B.C. Your kids will discover the building of the Parthenon, a performance of Oedipus Rex, a torchlight wedding procession, children playing, Socrates’ trial, the Olympian Games and even Aristotle tutoring the young Alexander of Macedonia. Each picture has a detailed caption for each illustration. It is almost too nice to soil with crayons, but I will admit we had a lot of fun doing it!
