The Homegrown Preschooler: Teaching Your Kids in the Places They Live (For Families)

Transform your Home into a Learning Environment that Rivals the Best Preschool Classroom!

I think that if I could go back in time and choose a different profession, it would probably be studying and learning about early childhood education.  I am simply fascinated with the subject and my kids get to be little guinea pigs in my ever expanding knowledge I acquire on the subject.  That said, I take education very seriously while still having fun and I will always supplement home teaching with school learning.  Reinforcing learning and helping kids understand their homework and just taking them out into the world that goes beyond the four walls of a classroom are so important to expand their little minds.  I was really impressed with ‘The Homegrown Preschooler’ for giving me great ideas on how to keep learning at home fun and interesting and….easy!  We like easy, too!  I do understand, I work and am a parent and it’s hard to come up with activities that are educational and interesting instead of sitting our kids down to a PBS show, but we have to make that effort.  Hey, I’m all for Daniel Tiger on those off-days, but learning through play with your kids is an excellent bond of teaching that will last a lifetime and we can all make more room for that in our lives.
