Ruff is an industrious and busy dog and is always working hard with no room for friends. He felt he was missing something in his life when he stumbles across a little mouse when building a pond his backyard. Poor little mouse lost his home from Ruff’s digging, but the ever hardworking Ruff builds him a house next to him. They decide to be friends and neighbors and even finish Ruff’s pond project together. What would a brand new pond be without a friendly duck joining their group? While Ruff’s day started out as a normal busy day of working, it turned into a day of fun and friendship. Ruff goes to sleep that night happy realizing that all work and no play makes for a very dull doggy life. What a sweet ending!
