Between my maternal fetal medicine appointments (for things like gestational diabetes), my one grandfather’s still extended stint in between ICU, surgeries and rehab and my other grandfather’s surgery I feel like we all deserve to have some much needed humor injected in between health issues. I’ve been a fan of Giant Microbes for years (this is actually my third review) because I think it is a fun way to talk to kids about serious issues and also incorporate science into your children’s life.
Giant Microbes are back with some new and fun Christmas ornaments. Yup! It’s true. You can decorate your tree with the Common Cold, Brain Cell, Kissing Disease, E coli and the (limited edition) Red Amoeba. Say it isn’t so! Not only are these Giant Microbes ready to trim your tree, they also dress for the occasion. Why not? The Microbes are ‘festively adorned’ with things like a Santa hat, antlers, scarves and even candy canes and mistletoe. You can’t accuse them of not dressing for the season’s weather.
