Our family is instrument junkies. We own guitars, a bass guitar, drums, a tambourine, bongos, a didgeridoo, a mandolin, castanets, hand bells and a recorder. We like to play music and dance around as a family as well as just listening and playing along to music. I am always on the lookout for a fun instrument that Brooke can play and I found some exciting stuff at Turtle Island Imports, especially their Brass Bell Anklets!
The Turtle Island Imports have regional instruments from Bali, Indian Region, China, Nepal, Ecuador, Peru, Guatemala and Thailand! Of course I was just excited looking through their instrument catalog. As soon as I saw the Brass Bell Anklets in the dance and percussion instrument collections from Bali, I knew I had a winner. Not only is it a perfect Christmas stocking stuffer since the description quotes that the sounds are reminiscent of sleigh bells, it is also a really fun instrument for a preschooler. The bells are hand-crafted on a knotted thick cord and the bells are around half an inch across. They are quite beautiful and a fun musical instrument that I know Brooke will want to dance with every time we do family music together. I am actually so excited to see her eyes as she opens this gift, I am almost more excited about Christmas than she is this year!

Dancing bells!! I love these. I used to have an all silver anklet with silver bells I would wear often. It got me the name ‘ jingle jangle’ one summer.
