Everything Goes: Blue Bus, Red Balloon {Boardbook} (Infants and Toddlers)
A Book of Colors
I know what some people must think. It’s so easy to write a children’s book. Anyone can do it! My answer to those assumptions are; no, and not well. It was a little sad when Brooke became ‘bored’ of her board books and wanted to move on to the next reading level, but we are excited to have another awesome little daughter to share in the excitement of these books again. However, new and great books for infants and toddlers pop up all the time and I love when I find a really great one to share. What makes a board book so great? First, it has to be eye-catching. Illustrations are important and so is color. I also like simple concepts. Colors, animals, foods or facial expression for example, are great ways to fill a child’s mind before they can verbalize them back. Also important to me, can I stand to read and re-read these books over and over and over and….yes, over. If I find a children’s book that fits my criteria, I love to recommend them. That is why I’m writing about this new Everything Goes book series from HarperCollins.
Everything Goes: Blue Bus, Red Balloon is a sweet simple book for the ages of 0-4 that focuses on color. It also focuses on a journey of one red balloon and how it travels throughout the city during a child’s day through different modes of transportation. The constant movement and pace of the book that has very few words is a hard feat and it is fun to read. Over and over and over…..

What a cute book. I would have loved this when my kids were little.
Looks like a fun book! My daughter loves books
Friend of mine is a children book writer… she does a good job but boy, it looks hard at times…
I think it is much more difficult to write for kids than adults or even teenagers.
