Teaching VERY small children VERY big words with VERY silly songs
You may think Science or Math was my favorite subject growing up but it was actually English. My love of reading and listening to stories made English a great subject for me. I’m not the best writer and sometimes even I have trouble getting a point across in a sentence, but I loved to sit and read and analyze books and poetry and make sense of language. Some things come easy to people while some things come hard, but English was one of those subjects I would take to give my brain a break from Calculus. I always had interest in things like alliteration, anagrams and onomatopoeia, so naturally I was drawn to Mr. Palindrome’s concept for his albums to make language fun.
Mr. Palindrome is actually an Australia-based musician-dad although he did graduate from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Impressive! This hilarious album is packed full of tongue twisters and the really awesome song called the ‘Backwards Alphabet’. It is fun and educational and will have you laughing with your children. Smiley Face Sticker is his very FIRST American CD release and is available on both CDBaby.com and Bandcamp. His first US tour starts this winter so be on the lookout for a date near your city by checking his site.
