Like most people with curly hair, my hair is dry and porous and absorbs pretty much everything that gets in a few inches of its mass. Chlorinated water is the absolute worst on my hair and it is always a fun hair battle versus fun in the pool and hair that feels like straw afterward. I had no clue they made special all-natural clarifying shampoo for people like me and my daughter whose pool water wreck havoc on our locks. I was interested from the instant I heard about it and wanted to get the fantastic smelling Lemon-Aid Conditioner that is included in the set. Yum!
The Fairy Tales Lifeguard hair line is awesome. Not only does the clarifying shampoo help remove the green sea salts from chlorine, it is also great for minerals and sun damaged hair from the beach. It has aloe and jojoba to detangle and moisturize and has some natural extracts to cleanse our damaged hair. If you and your family are big swimmers, this is a must. Oh and psst….it is color safe for those who highlight or color their hair, so it really is perfect for the whole family. For extra damaged hair, I recommend using the Lemon-Aid Conditioner since it has a blend of extracts that is great at getting out hard water deposits and chlorine as well as vitamins E and B to help detangle and get your hair back to its shiny pre-damaged state.
