Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers CD by Trout Fishing in America (All Ages)

America’s Tongue-Twisting New Release‏!  Drops September 3, 2013!

If you follow the Grammys for children’s music you are quite aware of the group Trout Fishing in America.  The band has been nominated for a Grammy a total of four times.  Wow! Book nerds like me will recognize the group’s title from the 1967 novel by Richard Brautigan Trout Fishing in America.  The nationally touring duo is made up of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet under their own label, Trout Records.  Texans will love the little fact that Keith and Ezra met here in Houston and played in the band, St. Elmo’s Fire, until 1979 before starting Trout Fishing in America.  You can hear many diverse musical influences in this album and I could definitely tell that they were influenced from many styles from reggae to classical music (Keith used to be in the Houston Symphony).  Their albums are fun and, of course, my favorites are the folk and rock influences mixed with some blues throughout this album.  If you read the track titles below you will see that the band may not take their fun-loving lyrics seriously, but the music is strictly professional.  Great music to put on and dance to with your little ones!
