Total Sun Block 7′ Umbrella (Family Health)

Capture the Spirit

I honestly don’t know what is up with my family’s skin except we are so pale and allergic to everything, sun included.  I have always been very aware of my skin’s contact with things like plants and the sun, even at a very young age, because the rashes and sun burns HURT.  We have been joking to my husband he is going to fall apart since he is turning 40 this year, but his recent bouts with contact dermatitis are not funny.  Poor guy.  Brooke is also very pale and sensitive with dry skin but, luckily, I have been dealing with it my whole life so we know that limited sun exposure and blocking lotions are keys to surviving life in Texas.  Although we will never have that bronzed glow unless I suppose we pay someone to spray it on us, I am okay being pale and not damaging our skin.  It is awesome that vendors like Rio Brands (I’m sure you know of them from their popular beach chairs) just came out with a new smaller sized 7 foot sun block umbrella that is recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation perfect for things like family trips to the beach.

Rio Brands new Total Sun Block Umbrella is 7 feet in diameter with a tilt feature and blocks 99.8% of UVA/UVB (SPF 2500 Sun Protection!) rays.  The unique square shape of the umbrella provides more coverage and the Skin Cancer Foundation has taken notice.  The umbrella canopy is vented so it still maintains wind flow and the steel pole base includes rubs that can easily anchor into the grass or sand.  The height is easily adjustable and my husband concluded it was ‘easy to carry’ and it comes with a portable bag with a carrying strap.  Yes, it is one more thing you have to take with you on the trip, but your skin will thank you for it!
