Yummy Dough (Age 3+)
The Edible Modeling Dough
When I first saw this product the first thing I thought of was…..ewwwww! Don’t kids eat enough play dough? But then I read more and saw the genius behind this product. It is basically a sugar cookie dough that it safe to eat (yes, raw or baked) that you just add water. It is also fun for kids who are just learning how to really bake while still enjoying ‘playing with their food’. The bucket comes with four ready-to-add dough mixes with colors in red, green, yellow and blue. It has a measuring syringe for water, a mixing tool and the reusable bucket to mix each color. Play with the dough as long as you like and put it in any type of shape creation to then bake in a 275 degree oven for around 10-15 minutes. Perfect for a fun parent-child bonding time or a supervised play date, this yummy dough it not just for playing; you also have the fun of eating your creations! It is a very light sugary treat that will satisfy any little baker.

Important Note from Momma’s Bacon: I write many posts months in advance, such as this one, and wanted to say that while I currently have gestational diabetes that eating products low in added sugar in moderation is something I still support in healthy individuals. For those who have or had gestational diabetes, this temporary condition is pre-determined at the beginning of conception in the development of the placenta. I was beating myself up about things I ate in my first and second trimester because I did not know (and have no risk factors) but learned through education that while curbing your diet is an important factor in controlling the disease, it is not prevention for it. Happy and healthy diet to all my readers and I’m excited for when I can have the occasional sugar cookie again!

Kids love to bake with their mom or dad!
This is interesting. I can’t image telling my kids to eat it after I’ve spent 3 years convincing them not too! 🙂
Hmm…I worry that they would get confused and eat regular playdoh at school if I let them eat it at home!
I was wondering the same thing…..all these years saying ‘Don’t eat the dough’ to now encouraging it! Ha! My daughter has been out of the eating phase for some time and I think because I told her it was colored sugar cookie dough she was really interested in molding and baking it before she even wanted to try it. I’d definitely stick to age 3 and older and no regression to wanting to eat play dough here! 🙂
oh my would my daughter love this!
