We all think it is adorable when Brooke says she is from Texas first before she says she lives in America.  As an honorary Texan, I still have pride in my first home state of Ohio, but there is something about Texas that people who live here believe they are extra special.  True, Texas was once its own country which is pretty impressive.  It’s also very vast with a remarkable landscape from the coast to the flat desert.  Sometimes living in Austin I forget how big it is until just getting out of the state is farther than going from one end of Ohio to the other.  It’s not just Texas that is unique, all of the 50 States are unique and I want my daughter to learn about them.  As a visual learning, we have maps all over the place and this one is particularly special because it’s magnetic!

The US Magnetic Puzzle Map for ages 3 and up makes learning geography fun.  This is a nice size 11″L x 16 3/4″W puzzle with magnetic states that stick to the playboard and any magnetic surface (think refrigerator).  The USA map is pretty impressive with its landmarks, capitals, roadways and all the major cities.  It is fun to explain to Brooke where various people live, especially her grandparents and aunts and uncles.
