Product Review:  A Perfect Day [Hardcover] (Ages 4-8)

It snowed.

And snowed.

And snowed.

After it snowed,

everyone

bundled up and

went outside to play.

I had to chuckle a little (just a little, I promise) when my mom told me it was flurrying in Ohio when the weather was creeping up into the 80s recently in Austin.  Why?  Because I remember the freezing cold and I have vivid memories of walking in snowy weather as the air would coat my lungs in frost.  Okay, maybe not literally, but it sure felt like the winter was getting into my skin and bones.  Then I read A Perfect Day to Brooke and for one second, I missed the snow.  After all, it’s a book dedicated to children playing in the flurries.  This is very simple text and the illustrations are done simply with cut out paper to a beautiful end.  It reminds ex-Yankees, like me, that you can have a perfect day in the snow and cold.  What a nice reminder!  And those stuck in the snow this winter season?  Well, it’s a perfect book to get kids outside and playing!
