Product Review: Little Miss Chatterbox Stainless Steel Water Bottle 20oz by Wild & Wolf (Preschooler +)
When Little Miss Chatterbox starts a sentence, it goes on and on and on…..
I am sure some of the parents my age would remember the series called Mr. Men. The original series was written by Roger Hargreaves published in the UK starting in 1971 into 49 children’s books (WOW!) at 20 pence each. Each book contained a different wacky ‘Mr’ character and the pictures were so cute and simple. Mr. Tickle, the crazy orange man with rubbery hands was the first of the series but it was always Mr. Chatterbox (the twentieth book) who was my favorite. I probably got the book as young as four and, to be honest, we had nothing in common. I barely spoke and no one would mistake me as a chatterbox! HA! Mr. Chatterbox talked so much he made people screw up their work! So why did I like him so much? My mom may or may not have known that some of my (I imagined forced?) outings with my dad (which I always wondered if he enjoyed at the time?) he would take me to this local bar called The Chatterbox. It was cool and I liked being there as a child. It was also better than going to junk sales or to play golf, which really meant I’d sit and watch him play all morning. The Chatterbox had A/C (we did not at that time) a jukebox, it had free peanuts and it even had a video game. Plus, I liked sitting at the bar and pretending I was a grown up. I imagine my dad may have even bought me a soda, which back then was a real treat. So, that’s why I like the book, Mr. Chatterbox, and I loved it so much and got it so many times from the library I got my own copy (thanks mom!). And who should I see sitting under the tree on Christmas that next year, but my own stuffed Mr. Chatterbox, who I started taking with me on my outings with my dad and he was probably one of my favorite toys until six or so when the My Little Pony craze took over my brain. Anyway, that is how my love of this character and book series started and I’m not sure if my dad ever knew that was why, but he does now!
I was looking for a fun 20-ounce stainless steel water bottle with a nice clip perfect to keep Brooke’s drinks at the perfect temperature on the go and I could not be more excited to see the Classic Little Miss Chatterbox bottle. The Little Miss Series started in 1981 and amassed more unique characters into the scene but this time focusing on female characters, but for some reason I did not know about it (my library must not have had it?) until I was a little older. I remember learning later on and being excited to finally realize a Little Miss Chatterbox existed and that she was the same loveable chatty character who happened to be Mr. Chatterbox’s sister. I loved this adorable reusable steel water bottle based on this character and thought it was perfect for Brooke’s lunch. What is funny is that my daughter is very talkative and, to be honest, I am now, too. So, this is perfect for us! The product is through the UK trade only-company, Wild and Wolf, and is made for purchase (and can be with FREE shipping depending on your account type) through Amazon. In our family, you sometimes have to talk loud and often to get in a word in edgewise (we do work on that! Ha ha) and we all had a good laugh at the bottle. There really isn’t much to say about a great water bottle except it keeps your drinks cool and I LOVE the much needed clip for each toting for kids and their parents. The main thing is, it not only works; it looks cool. So, we love it!
