Picture Window Books from the Seek It Out Series

There is a reason hidden picture puzzle books are so popular.  They are fun and can be tricky to the eye.  The Christmas Chaos Seek It Out series book is an excellent hidden puzzle book that includes 15 two-page illustrations with a table of pictures you and your child need to ‘seek out’ within the picture.  Think of it as a Where’s Waldo with Christmas items.  Although the book is called Christmas Chaos, there are hidden pictures called ‘Hello, Hanukkah!’, ‘Colorful Kwanzaa’ and ‘Cheers for New Year’s’.

Christmas Chaos Hidden Picture Puzzles starts out with a more simple hidden picture puzzle called ‘Pause for Mr. Claus’ with just six items, including an adorable penguin, to find at a department store illustration.  As you continue in the book, the puzzles get a little harder with the last picture puzzle ‘Ho-Ho Holiday’ that contains 12 items total to find.  There is a fun section in the back of the book of ‘sneaky items’ you can still find in the book.  Oh, you didn’t see that T. Rex either?  I totally understand.  As always, Capstone includes additional book related searches through their Fact Hound website for additional books that may interest you and your child.  I see this as being a really nice book for Brooke to do with her grandparents during their visit (she likes to ‘show off’ her seeking skills) and we have been enjoying going over finding the items, too.  Perfect activity to do around the holidays!

  1. Just bought this book for my 4 year old son and he loves it, but after spending an hour on just the second puzzle Go-Go Snow we STILL cannot find the rabbit anywhere.

    • Hi Renee! Thank you so much for your comment! I have to head to work in a minute, but I am going to go over it tonight with my daughter and see if we can find it for you. We did go through each page, so I am hopeful I can follow-up with you soon. Some of them are so tricky which makes it fun.

      • Oh my goodness I can’t believe we missed that! LOL I even sat with a magnifying glass looking at the skiiers clothes, the shadows, everything. 🙂 Thank you so much. I feel so silly sometimes not being able to find a hidden picture in a children’s book, but you are right, the trickiness of it does make it fun! We just finished up a seek and find book called Can You See What I See: Toyland Express by Walter Wick, and after we finish the Christmas Chaos we will be looking for more of his books. I think these kinds of books are such a great thing, especially for someone like my son who has a very hard time keeping focused on things, but we can sit with these books and he stays on them until he finds everything. 🙂
