Product Review:   Yuletide Harvest Advent Calendar (All Ages)

Designers and Artists who have a Love of Traditional Craftsmanship

I am an advent calendar novice.  The closest my family came to tracking the days until Christmas as a child were those construction paper loops you tape together and pull off one loop each day it gets closer to the holiday.  Does that count?  I was excited to share in this countdown tradition and the Yuletide Harvest Bear advent calendar (my daughter is bear obsessed) that has such a unique old-world look to it that is just makes me excited about the holidays to just look at it.

The Yuletide Harvest Advent Calendar is a nice sized 12.5” x 17” with a 13” x 2.5” stand made completely in the USA.  The calendar is mounted on a heavy board on a reclaimed, oil growth Redwood stand for a really beautiful display.  The Yuletide bear has a nice screen printed cotton bag fill of 24 holiday ornament stickers to match up to the appropriate day on the calendar.  The best thing about this calendar is that the stickers are reusable year after year so this tradition can continue.  The calendar creates such a festive and exciting decoration for the entire family and it is quite fun for kids to visually see the holiday getting closer and closer.  How fun and beautiful!

  1. That’s very cool! Wish I could afford it (right now I’m actually looking for an advent calendar…but more on the paper open flap types for under $5…we’re really tight for money right now).

    • I totally understand. It’s hard to get nice handcrafted materials for a budget and this one was actually the coolest at the most affordable rate. I’m trying to think of some nice budget ones…like Eric Carle’s Dream Snow Pop-Up Advent Calendar. Hey, the construction paper chains was our staple in my childhood, too! Thanks for your post! I can tell you appreciate art!
