Product Review: Five Little Monkeys Finger Puppet Playset (All Ages)
These mischievous Five Little Monkeys Finger Puppets are ready for monkey business!
I had no idea what kind of obsession I was going to cause when I taught my daughter (with full vision effects and vocal inflections, of course) the rhyme ‘Five Little Monkeys’. You know, the one where the five monkeys jump on the bed and each one falls off and their mom has to call the doctor. The doctor’s sage advice is ‘No more monkeys jumping on the bed’ in a ‘shame, shame’ manner instead of calling child protective services after the fifth call, but I digress. My daughter thinks it is HILARIOUS. While I had bought Eileen Christelow’s book on the subject and had been using my fingers as ‘monkeys’ to put on this little play of sorts, I checked my all-time favorite toy maker who designs toys and puppets from children’s books and sure enough – they had a Five Little Monkeys Playset just like the ones from Eileen’s book. Super score!
The Five Little Monkeys Finger Pupper Playset is the perfect accompaniment to the ‘Five Little Monkeys’ rhyme and, if you are so inclined, the fun loving book by Eileen. The set comes with five little monkeys each in different costumes and genders and they are each 5” tall. While my daughter loves the Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed book the best, there is an entire series of the Five Little Monkeys getting into mischief where you can use this play set, so check out her series of books from her website here.
