Product Review: Polka Dot TrayKit (Age 3+)

On really, really, really long car drives, it is hard to keep children from getting bored. I’ve tried different tray solutions but they were always very flimsy and never seemed to work right. They also lacked pockets and surface area for Brooke’s multiple gadgets to keep her busy instead of just staring at a portable TV. I have to tell you that the TrayKit from Kids Preferred is pretty impressive as far as portable trays for kids go. The TrayKit is both a travel carry-on backpack (so nice!) and a play-tray solution that can easily strap to a car, train or plane seat and/or tray table for a great play surface that has sides to ‘hold the toys’! What a concept!
The TrayKit in Polka Dot by Kids Preferred is a great contraption that folds up into a carry-on backpack with enough space and pockets to keep toys so your little ones stay busy on long trips. The closed case measures 11″L x 13 3/4″W x 3 3/4″H while the unfolded travel tray is 17″L x 13″. Trays come in Blue Camo, Pink Polka, Stripes and Croc and Star and Whale. While the tray itself is somewhat of a soft surface it includes harder raised edges to keep toys inside the tray! This was always a huge problem with trays we have tried in the past. I also like the five large pockets on the inside tray for ample storage and the inside mirror for added fun. No one likes being stuck in a car or airplane for hours and hours with nothing to keep you occupied. The products you add to your child’s TrayKit is a great way to pass the time and the TrayKit has a great way to help alleviate the storage and set up for easy passenger play for kids.
