The first time I ever went to Virginia Beach I had a cast up my entire arm surrounding my wrist. Ugh. It was the summer I turned seven (or eight?) and had just broken my arm (two wrist bones, actually) at my grandparents’ house over the July 4th holiday. It just figured that the first family vacation we took outside of Ohio (we stayed with some friends of my parents), I couldn’t really do everything I wanted to do on the beach! I ended up with a plastic bag that was rubber banded around my cast and trying to fight the waves with one hand over my head. It somewhat worked and I have loved the beach ever since that trip. While the Sandy Feet ‘Casting’ Kit is a little different than that trip (ha!), just like my arm cast keepsake, the keepsake of the Sandy Feet products from Spots and Ladybugs provides a fun memory of time spent on the beach with your family.
Sandy Feet Casting Kit Keepsake is a fantastic idea about wanting to preserve a memory on the beach with a neat footprint cast of your child’s foot in the sand. Creating the cast is a very simple three-step process: step into the sand, mix water with the plaster and pour into the footprint. The kit comes in this really sweet painted tin pail that just screams vintage. While this may be an off-season for the beach, it most definitely is a fantastic keepsake for year-round. Since we live a few hours from any beach in Austin, I look forward to reminders of sunny beaches. Plus, this is a great gift to grandparents!
