Let’s get active and be present with our kids! I did a previous review on the interactive Tickle Monster Kit by Josie Bissett and I am following it up with a review on her newest and super cute creation called Boogie Monster Dance Kit. This Dance Kit is to get parents and kids moving and grooving to music in a really unique and fun way and incorporates lots of reading fun. The kit comes with one Boogie Monster Book, a pair of Boogie Legs Leggings for your child (you must check them out!) and one full length Boogie Monster Boogie music CD by the awesome kid’s band Recess Monkey.
The Boogie Monster Dance Kit gets parents active through reading to their child and dancing along to the beautiful and positive messages in both the CD and book about a monster who loves to ‘get down’. The fuzzy and soft ‘Boogie Legs’ for your child to slip on their own legs are so adorable, hilarious and quite monster-like in its hairy goodness that my daughter didn’t want to take them off and has become another Josie Bissett-inspired bedtime stall tactic for Brooke since she wants to continue to dance in her super boogie legs. The magnetic closure packaging is also thoughtful and is re-usable and of high quality perfect for a keepsake or gift. Perfect combination for family fun and highly recommended!

The Boogie Monster Boogie Music CD has the backing band of three elementary school teachers from Seattle who perform under the name Recess Monkey. About Author Josie Bissett: I honestly had no idea that Josie was a celebrity mom when we purchased her genius Tickle Monster Kit after seeing it on display at a local toy store last year! Josie is an actor you may recognize as Jane from the hit 90s primetime soap opera Melrose Place and currently plays Kathleen on the ABC show The Secret Life of an American Teenager. This Seattle resident is a mom of two who has been in ads and television since the age of 12. Her main passion is being an active role as a mother and Boogie Monster Dance Kit is her second children’s book. She is currently working on her third installment entitled Munchie Monster about a monster who loves to eat healthy food. I can’t wait for the release!
