Product Review: Kimochis® Mini Clover (Age 3+)
Kimochis. Toys with Feelings Inside.
I don’t want my daughter to be afraid to express her feelings and let others know what she is thinking. I spent a good majority of my young life keeping my feelings hidden away and I suppose that makes me that much more conscious about wanting my daughter to feel free to think through her thoughts out loud with me and others. My husband and I first discovered the Kimochis (the Japanese word for ‘feeling’, pronounced key-mo-chees) toys at a Central Market grocery store here in Austin and fell in love with the intent behind teaching kids to express and understand their emotions. I love their motto, ‘Don’t be afraid of emotional attachments’ since the mini Kimochi keychains are meant to be hooked and displayed to let others know what you are feeling.
Kimochis were created by mom, Nina Rappaport Rowan with seven main large Kimochi plush dolls with their own set of personalities and set of small plush pillow feelings; Bella Rose, Bug, Clover, Cat, Cloud, Huggtopus and Lovey Dove. Clover is the Kimochi character shaped like a four-leafed clover with a sense of humor, a little absent-minded and with a not-so-lucky streak when it comes to his own luck. The large Clover doll comes with three feelings of Happy, Optimistic and Disappointed. I chose the to do a review on the cute little Kimochis Mini character keychain of Clover that come with a 6” plush version of the large doll, one 2” feeling pillow (Optimistic) with carabineer keychain and a Kimochi comic book (Clover Wake Up Call). This is a cute little set and a little bonus is that the box becomes a feelings pillow storage box if you plan on purchasing more of the mini mixed feelings to add on to this mini keychain set. Adorable!
