Encouraging Interaction and Family Unity at the Table

Trains hold a special place in my heart because they remind me of my dad’s father who spent his entire career (besides a stint of being drafted in the Army) working on the railroad.  He started working for the B&O Railroad (the first passenger hauling railroad in the United States) out of the Newark, Ohio, division in 1950 and retired there in 1989.  His house has remnants and artifacts of his almost four decades of being a railroad man and I can recall many of his stories from starting as a brakeman to becoming a conductor along his routes from Newark, Ohio to Zanesville and to Columbus and back.  The Chew Chew Train dinnerware set for children may have more sentimental value to me than other families, but it still provides an avenue for family time fun at the dinner table and a great purchase!

The Chew-Chew Train dinnerware set for kids is a six-piece train set that disassembles into an entire dinnerware set for kids.  For example, the train’s ‘engine’ becomes an adorable cup with a handle and the train’s ‘platform’ becomes a plate.  The intent is to make mealtime fun and encourage your child to eat their entire meal.  The set is non-toxic, BPA, PVC, lead and phthalate-free and available in both blue and pink colors.  I enjoy having it set up to look like a train on the counter-top just as much as having Brooke use it as a dinnerware set.  Bravo Urban Trend!
