There is something so deeply personal and touching when you find a book that you connect with on a deep level. The Incredible Intergalactic Journey Home by Lost My Name books is one such book. This isn’t just a book that you can personalize with your child’s name and gender, it also goes much deeper than that as it gives the exact coordinates of your child’s home as they try to find their way back from deep within outer space with many lovely adventures along the way. I don’t say this lightly, but this is probably my most favorite children’s book that I have had the pleasure to read this year. AND I READ A LOT! It could be the sweet message that we live in a huge universe and there are many places and people we could potentially meet and befriend, and the always touching message that we do have a place – an exact coordinate – that we can call home is just such a beautiful story. I feel honored to have this book and to share it with my girls. I want them to explore and experience life to their full potential but I want them to always know they will always have a place to call home no matter what path they choose. It chokes me up a little just thinking about it – and they are still quite young!
So, before I continue on a silly trip down a future path of soon to be memories, I should at least give you a complete rundown of the book. Here it goes:

It’s a truly awesome experience to read this book with your kiddos and it has now become one of my favorite books to read to them. They love seeing their names and their own personalized map that leads them back onto our street in Austin, Texas. You can go to as many places in life as you allow yourself, but there is something very deep rooted and special that Dorothy once said in The Wizard of Oz, “There is no place like home.” Amen!
