LEGO KidsFest Austin Review (Local Austin, Texas)
LEGOS is almost synonymous with childhood in the US. My oldest daughter Brooke just graduated to REAL LEGOS from her old Duplo sets which are made for young builders. The wonderful thing about LEGOS is that you can pretty much create anything you can imagine with them. It’s imagination at its finest and the thrill does not go away. LEGO Kidsfest is just as much for the parents as it is for the kids and Bob and I were in awe of the entire event.
Our family has been literally waiting months to attend the LEGO KidsFest in Austin and it was WELL worth the wait. Although tickets are either almost or already sold out for this year’s event, I can’t take any blame for not warning you through my blog and even took part in a contest where one of my lovely readers won two free tickets! So, if you didn’t happen to get tickets this year, let me show you what you missed and, not to worry, LEGO KidsFest has been an annual event in Texas for a few years and books an event in Austin most of the time, so you may get an opportunity to go next year.
Our LEGO KidsFest Austin Experience:
LEGO KidsFest Austin was AMAZING. The convention center is huge, so it was the perfect place to hold this event. There were Race Ramps, Model Museums, Construction Zones, Challenge Zones, and much much, much more. My oldest loved the Disney LEGO area which had a cute photo booth where we could take pictures. My youngest was obsessed with their Duplo section (LEGOs for the younger kids) and they even had a junior build area for young ones. The race ramps were fun to watch and the many, many displays of LEGO art in massive sizes impressed us all. It was a wonderful event. As always, pictures speak a THOUSAND words, so check out ours!
