Having a light complexion in Austin, Texas is definitely like a curse. Our little toddler, Brie, not only has pale skin she has light blue eyes and reddish-blonde hair. If she is even in the shade on a hot day in A-town, her whole body turns red. The last thing I want is for my kids to get sun damage so we always make sure to slather ourselves in sunscreen when we go out and about, whether the sun is shining or not. Having two young kids who have a hard time sitting still, we have realized that a continuous mist sunscreen is the way to go. It’s fast, it’s easy and we can make sure that all of the exposed body parts of the kids are covered. I’m excited to tell you about a new to me sunscreen for kids by Soleil Toujours and it fits all of our sunscreen needs.
Soleil Toujours first and foremost prevents sunburn. It is made with something called a EcoSun Complex® and Titanium Dioxide which is composed of red algae, vitamin C ester, vitamin E, bisabolol and other botanical extracts that helps reduce UV-induced DNA damage. An added bonus is that is also hydrates skin and provides superior antioxidant protection. The best part of this sunscreen is that it is a safe product that is hypoallergenic, vegan and gluten-free. The sunscreen has no parabens, oxybenzone, retinyl palmitate, petrolatum, phthalates, sodium laurel sulfates, propylene glycol, animal ingredients or testing, no synthetic fragrances or colors. This product works great, smells fantastic, and the continuous spray will go in any direction needed so that I can be sure our girls are covered. Oh, and I totally use this product on myself, too!
How to Use:
- Apply liberally 20 minutes before sun exposure. Use in well-ventilated areas.
- Do not spray onto face. Spray into hands and apply to face.
- Use in well-ventilated areas.
- Use a water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.
- Reapply :
- immediately after swimming, sweating or towel drying.
- at least every 2 hours.
- Children under 6 months: Ask a doctor.
- Sun Protection Measures: Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including:
- Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.
