I love simple games that my oldest daughter and I can play together that are also really cool and fun. Bellz! by Wiggles 3D is probably one of the easiest/challenging games we’ve ever played and we can’t stop playing it. What do I mean by easy/challenging? OK, the point of the game is to use a magnetic wand to pick up colored bells. Easy, right? The challenge is you can only pick up ONE color of the bells at a time and you win when you pick up all ten of the same color bells in just one turn. Let’s just say that it can take many turns for a player to win!

Bellz! game looks simple to win, but it’s easy to push your luck with the magnets and lose your turn. The game is pretty straightforward. You unzip a pouch to make a game board that has 40 metal bells of four different colors (ten each) and one magnetic wand to pick up the bells. The bells are in various sizes and the goal is to pick up the same color bells with the wand in just one turn. You can pick them up as a string, cluster, whatever, as long as you don’t pick up more than one color. The magnetic wand has two separate ends; one for precision grabs where you can make a magnetic bell chain or a more powerful end to make magnetic bell clusters.

You can play Bellz! with up to four players although Brooke and I have had a blast playing with just the two of us. The estimated time frame for a player to win is around 15 minutes, but we’ve taken much more time than that! I have to use the precision end for grabbing the bells in order to win because trying to just get one color of bells on the powerful magnetic end is really tough. It may be because I don’t have a steady hand and on top of that pretty impatient, but Brooke gets a kick out of me flubbing my turns. It is hilarious. It’s so simple so small children can easily play (the game says it is for ages 6+) yet adults also love the addictive challenge. This is a game we’ll be playing for a long time and I can’t wait to include Brie in our turns when she gets old enough. If you are looking for a great family game that works for a variety of ages, check out Bellz! We’ve been impressed.
