When you grow up in Ohio, you learn early on that you live in the state that was home to the creators of the first practical fixed-wing aircraft. Flying machines! The original Wright brothers’ airplane was brought from Ohio and flown by the brothers at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on December 17, 1903.
