There are a few essential products I use everyday in order to keep our household of two little kids, a husband and three cats going. Our refrigerator, our washer and dryer and….our vacuum cleaner. So when our sputtering but pretty reliable vacuum cleaner we have had for years stopped sucking up cat hair and kid gunk, I was panicked. I needed a new one STAT, but wanted to make a smart purchase that was cost-effective and lasting. There are so many vacuums on the market that claim to be life-long guarantees that come with a hefty price tag and I knew I could find something at a reasonable cost that would still fit our needs and not break the bank.

While we could not go long without a vacuum, I am just too darn picky and (ahem) cheap to shell out money for a product that wouldn’t work. After a long and exhausting search I had narrowed down the company, Shark, for our vacuum and then just needed to figure out which model would best suit our needs. What was our old vacuum missing that our now larger family needed and what would be easy to use, powerful enough and could be used on multiple surfaces? I also knew I wanted a vacuum that was bagless and had multiple attachments for hard to reach areas. Availability! The Rotator vacuum is pretty much available at all national retailers across the country. Store warranties and being able to go and check out the vacuum at the store was an easy selling point.
