Safari Goodies for Zoo Birthday Party!

Celebrating Over 80 Years of Fun

The Austin Zoo isn’t your typical zoo and this isn’t Brooke’s typical birthday party.  The Austin Zoo has been helping animals in need through rescue, rehabilitation and education for twenty-five years and it has become a special place for our family.  It’s a great place to take your family and the super-awesome train you can ride for just two dollars makes it a huge hit with my girls.  When Brooke found out she could have her birthday party at the zoo – Wow – we didn’t hear the end of it.  Her birthday this year is right before she starts a brand new school and is saying goodbye to all her preschool schoolmates.  As you can imagine, we really wanted to make her birthday a very special event for her and all her friends.

  Austin Zoo Events Pavilion.  The Safari Tablecloths from Oriental Trading really made the party room come together.   

We had a cool venue.  We had a great party room.  We had wonderful light refreshments.  We even had additional entertainment thanks to Safari Greg for the kiddos.  But, the icing on the cake was definitely the goodies all of the kids received just for the party.

That’s right!  One way to make a birthday party even cooler for kids?  Make them feel as if they are part of the party, too!

I think we did a great job at creating a big hurrah before Brooke and her classmates start school!  Here is how we went all out for the kids and it was all thanks to the reasonable and adorable safari goodies through Oriental Trading.

Animal Print Sunglasses 

The kids each got to wear their own animal print sunglasses which was perfect for a hot, summer day at the zoo.

All of Brooke’s classmates had their very own child safari hat for the event.

This was an awesome celebration that was made even better with Oriental Trading goodies!  All the kids felt special and the birthday girl was the happiest of all.
